At long last, we finally got the name for our website, WendyandBrian.com. We had been waiting to get the name for 4 months. As recently as a week ago, it looked hopeless — but we finally lucked out.

If you’re not familiar with the process of how to get a domain name, it’s a long and boring story. So let’s get started. 🙂

So back in July, we had finally decided on having the wedding in State College, PA after narrowing down from a long list of other potential locations (Maryland, Virginia, Las Vegas, etc). But we still needed to decide on a specific site in State College. Most wedding planning books suggest booking your location as early as possible, so we knew we needed to get back East to check out possible sites before they were all taken. We decided to fly back the last weekend in August (right after my family had visited us in Seattle and just before Wendy’s Mom was due to visit us in September).

The plan was to fly in on Thursday evening, sleep in a bit on Friday, go to the Waffle Shop for breakfast, and then spend the next two days visiting locations and florists. Yeah…that would’ve been nice.
